So.. how did we get here?

Well, you’ve made it to another page.. good on ya!

Over the last number of years, we had a niggle, an inkling, a sense of being led into something new. As we prayed and prayed, sought council, and prayed again, we discovered that God was inviting us to join Him in his work in Dublin 12.

We couldn’t help but share in His heart for our neighbours, the parents at the school gate and other amazing people we have met along the way. We’re not really shy about our faith (kinda hard when one of us works for a church) but this was new. It was more than conversations, it was the beginning of discerning a sense of call to pioneer a brand new church that exists for those with little to no connection to church at all.

See you might find yourself in that cohort, little to no connection to church. You probably have all sorts of issues with the church, or maybe have been hurt by the church. We accept and empathise with you.

As we pioneer something new, we feel that we have been given an opportunity to re-write the narrative on church. To imagine a life together, where we can learn to live out the way of Jesus, in community, with one another. We can’t promise this is easy, and neither did Jesus himself. But having experienced the gift of community ourselves, and learning to follow Jesus with others, we have received more than we could ever ask or imagine.

Here’s our vision - Life beyond our wildest dreams is available in Jesus, and thats the narrative we want to see come to life in Dublin 12.

If that peeks your interest, pop us a message.

Table

The table is a reflection of the radical hospitality of Jesus—where all are welcome, equal, and nourished, both physically and spiritually. Sharing a meal together embodies the heart of the gospel: communion, sacrifice, belonging, and the ongoing invitation to live life together in love and grace.

Local is not about building a crowd, but creating community, and the way of community, is in the pocket of each-others lives, around the table, where we are seen & heard.

What we value

Formation

Formation is the lifelong process of being conformed to the image of Christ for the sake of others. Becoming people of love and peace requires time, intention and practice. In order to embody Jesus, we must learn to be with Jesus, to become like Jesus, and to do what Jesus did.

Local is committed to practicing the way of Jesus together through prayer, scripture, community, and service.

Mission

Mission is not just about “doing things for God,” but about joining God in what He is already doing. Being on mission with God means living as a disciple of Jesus who is sent into the world to reflect God's love, right where they are. Mission is not just something the Church does—it’s who we are.

Local is a church born from mission, not maintenance. It exists for the sake of those who aren’t looking for church—but are longing for hope and healing.
